Today, we officially said ‘Au revoir’ to our Primary 7 pupils as they finish their time at Primary School, and also to Mrs Doherty, SENCO and Mrs Thompson, LSA who retire after many years of dedicated service at Lisnagelvin.
In our assembly, Mr Torrens spoke on the theme of ‘Journeys’ and provided everyone with important messages about the journey of life, particularly Primary 7. Songs were sung by Primary 1, 2 and 7, and an instrumental ensemble entertained before a special song was performed to mark the retirement of Mrs Doherty. Thank you Miss Mullan and Primary 4 for writing this wonderful song about a special lady. It was lovely to hear so many children reflect on the impact Mrs Doherty has had on them as they have progressed through our school.
Mrs Doherty and Mrs Thompson were then invited to present a special trophy for Outstanding contribution to school life. This was awarded to Darwyn. Many congratulations, Darwyn!
