R.S.P.B visit to Primary Five

Primary Five were fortunate to have Karen Sheils a representative from the R.S.P.B on Wednesday. Karen spoke in great detail about the variety of birds that can be viewed around the school grounds and local area.  She gave the children advice on how to spot and identify birds, and ways to provide food and shelter to protect them.

The children particularly enjoyed the bird-watching opportunity around the school grounds and were able to identify a large number of local birds. A highlight was the tale of how the swift migrates from Northern Ireland to South Africa.
