Watch the videos about caterpillars and butterflies. There are 3 videos by BBC Teach and CBeebies. They are made especially for KS1 pupils. Watch them in this order:

Next, read the presentation all about the life cycle of a butterfly. The presentation is read to you, just like your Bug Club reading books. You need to click on the word 'Slideshow' along the very top of the screen (find File and keep reading across) and choose 'From Beginning' so that you can see and hear the presentation correctly. Listen and look very carefully, there is a quiz at the end. Can you answer all the questions on the quiz?
Use all this information to complete the following three tasks:
- write 2 interesting facts about caterpillars
- write 2 interesting facts about butterflies
- draw the life cycle of a butterfly
Can you find any caterpillars or butterflies in your garden or when you are out for a walk? Can you draw or paint that butterfly? You may find a photograph to copy by going to Google and typing in British butterflies.
