P5L Farm To Fork Visit

P5L participated in the Farm to Fork project at Tesco Lisnagelvin. During the visit the children learned about where sugar comes from, our recommended daily sugar allowance and took part in a 'sugar' hunt to find out the sugar contents of some the most popular breakfast cereals. The content of a few of these cereals took the children by surprise. The children then got to create their own 'healthy' breakfast muesli, having tried a few of the ingredients first. The final activity of the visit was the chance to explore the fruit and vegetable section of the shop, finding out about the range, source and colour of the different fruit and vegetables on offer.
