The Somme remembered 100 years on

Today Primary 4-7 had a very interesting and informative talk from the ladies of the British Legion. They were explaining the battle of the Somme as we prepare to remember those who lost their life 100 years ago this coming weekend. 

They dressed up a number of pupils, showed us many artefacts and read letters and prayers from soldiers who fought and lost their lives. 

We had a great morning and look forward to forthcoming events in Ebrington Square planned for September.
