Cricket at Stormont

Boys and girls from Primary 5, 6 and 7 represented Lisnagelvin Primary School at the Northern Ireland Open  Kwik Cricket Eight-a-side Tournament  in the grounds of Stormont, Belfast.

The boys successfully defeated King's Park Primary School from Lurgan by 40 runs, and Enniskillen Primary School in a closely fought match by 9 runs. Unfortunately a defeat at the hands of Campbell College Prep School by 14 runs meant that the boys missed out on a semi-final place by 10 runs.

The girls' team successfully defeated Ballymacash Primary School by 11 runs and Strandstown Primary School by the same score-line. Unfortunately a close defeat to Enniskillen Primary School meant that the girls missed out in a semi final place by an agonising 4 runs.

Both teams played some great cricket and had an enjoyable time at the tournament.
