25 pupils from Primary 5 took part in St Mary's College Primary School Duathlon, where for many they had the first taste of this event. The event consisted of a 500m run, a 300 metre cycle and a 500 metre run to finish. All the children gave a good account of themselves with everyone enjoying the event and atmosphere.
Later the same day the children participated in a community sports event. Coaches from local Rugby, Football, Gaelic, Indoor bowls, cricket, baseball and American football were on hand to introduce or develop the children's skills and techniques in these sports. Our pupils had the opportunity to participate in Gaelic, Baseball, American football and baseball training and activities.
The highlight though for many of the children was the chance to let themselves go on the different bouncy castles and funfair activities.
